Ormito's 10-year beat-making journey shows his growth and adaptation in the ever-changing digital music scene.

Ormito is a producer who has been at it, successfully selling beats, for over a decade.
He's been uploading to Youtube for more than twelve years and describes it as 'a totally new playfield compared to when I started'.

When he started, there was much less competition. There weren't that many people doing 'type' beats yet and the algorythm was way less powerful and played less of a role. Omito was also very young at the time and, in his own words, didn't really know anything about SEO, good thumbnails, or good titles . 'I remember just uploading beats that were titled like 'Synth beat I made in FL Studio'. Because the lack of competitors and the playfield being that much different, he was able to still rank pretty high on YouTube and gain new subscribers that way.

A lot has changed since then. Social media started to take over the interent and beat store providers started to become more practical to use. Over the past few years, Omito has shifted his focus from just making whatever he feels like making to a more strategical approach. He's almost reverse engineering his successes, pinpointing what made them work and trying to implement those same elements in his new beats. The same goes for the social media content he does

In the video, Omito describes how he got where he is today, how he likes to make content now vs. when he first started out, and the formula he came up with for his social media content.
